Two driver changes for Monza

Robin Frijns, Spa-Francorchamps 2013

Frijns was Lancaster’s replacement in Spa

Robin Frijns will have to leave way for Jon Lancaster at Hilmer this weekend at Monza, and Sergio Campana will replace Ricardo Teixeira at Trident.

Robin Frijns was Jon Lancaster’s team mate at Hilmer for four rounds this season, then he was replaced by Quaife-Hobbs from Hungary, but returned, this time alongside the latter, as a replacement for the former in Belgium. This weekend at Monza Lancaster will take back his #23 Hilmer alongside Quaife-Hobbs.

Trident, on the other hand, seem to have gone in the opposite direction: after replacing Kevin Ceccon with the arguably slower – but more economically useful – Teixeira, they have now replaced the Angolan with Italian Sergio Campana, who is currently third in the Auto GP World Series with one round left to go, and has totalled three wins in fourteen races. He is just six points behind Kimiya Sato and seventeen behind series leader – in his rookie season – and Venezuela GP Lazarus driver Vittorio Ghirelli.
